TCI Receives Contract for Spectrum Monitoring and Management Systems from Spectrum Management Authority of Jamaica


Fremont, CA - February 7, 2006

TCI has been awarded a $1.4 million contract to supply the Spectrum Management Authority (SMA) of Jamaica with an integrated Spectrum Management and Monitoring system. The contract will include three of the company's Model 700 Series Spectrum Monitoring Systems and a tailored version of its Model 710 Automated Spectrum Management System (ASMS). 

Under the terms of the contract, TCI will:
  1. Engineer and install one monitoring system at a fixed site in Kingston, Jamaica.
  2. Install a second monitoring system in a Land Rover Defender provided by the SMA.
  3. Package a third monitoring system for transportable use.

All three systems will run identical versions of TCI's "Scorpio" Windows-based client software. TCI spectrum monitoring and management systems utilize the latest radio, signal processing and database software technologies available.

This practice minimizes training requirements while allowing the customer to put the system to work sooner rather than later."
