Bangladesh Telecommunications Regulatory Commission Contract

TCI International, Inc. Announces Contract with the Bangladesh Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (BTRC)

FREMONT, CA – January 28, 2008

TCI International, Inc. announces it has entered into contract with the Bangladesh Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (BTRC) for a national Radio Spectrum Management and Monitoring System (RSMMS).

The two-phase RSMMS project will include a central Management and Control Center, four Regional Operations Centers, six Fixed Monitoring Stations and Five Mobile Monitoring Stations based on TCI’s dual 20/2 MHz model 745 Spectrum Monitoring System (SMS). 

The TCI solution will be utilized by the BTRC to fulfill its mission of facilitating affordable telecommunication services of acceptable quality for all regardless of their location in Bangladesh, and ensuring compliance with ITU Recommendations.

The RSMMS supplied by TCI is an integrated spectrum management and monitoring solution enabling the BTRC to effectively and efficiently monitor and manage the HF/VHF/UHF/SHF RF spectrum according to the Recommendations of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).
