TCI Wideband DF System Completes NATO Country COMINT Requirement
TCI Delivers Wideband DF system that will be integrated with the
Agilent E3238S Signal Search and Collection System
FREMONT, CA—July 28, 2009. TCI International, Inc., a leader in world-class spectrum monitoring and Communication Intelligence (COMINT) systems, announces that it has delivered the TCI 803 Wideband Direction Finding (WDF) system to be integrated with the Agilent Technologies E3238S Signal Search and Collection System for a NATO country. The combination of TCI’s 803 signal location technology with Agilent’s Blackbird™ products provide unmatched simultaneous signal collection, analysis, demodulation and location solutions on signals of interest between 20 and 3,000 MHz.
The integration of the TCI 803 with the Agilent E3238 Blackbird allows segregating emitters by geo-location in an ever increasing emitter rich environment, a critical aspect of modern Electronic Warfare (EW) surveillance. TCI’s DF First™ high-speed signal processing allows the system to compute and display real-time signal direction information for each and every signal within the E3238S search range. In addition, DF caching allows the E3238S collection system to go back in time and precisely re-compute direction on all signals of interest. The solution provides users with an open and flexible client/server architecture that combines fast, wideband signal search, direction finding, and a complete set of signal analysis tools. For each intercept, the system analysis tools provide the frequency, direction and/or location, modulation type, modulation parameters, bandwidth and time of transmission. The system simultaneously supports both automatic and manual signal intercept missions.
Since announcing the WDF capability for E3238S Blackbird earlier this year, this is now the fourth NATO country to have selected this solution to meet their COMINT requirements.
