Product Description

The Model 641 antenna is a compact and multifunctional system offering vertical and horizontal signal monitoring combined with vertical signal direction finding (DF) capabilities. Its design includes a biconical omnidirectional antenna for vertical monitoring and DF reference, a loop element for horizontal signal monitoring, and a nine-element DF array for accurately detecting vertically polarized signals.

The integrated broadband RF switch plays a critical role by commutating signals from the DF elements to an external two-channel receiver. This feature also generates test signals for calibration and supports a built-in self-test (BIST) function, ensuring the system remains accurate and reliable during operation. With a typical DF accuracy of 2 degrees RMS*, the Model 641 offers high precision for demanding applications.

Adaptable to different deployment needs, the Model 641 is available in two configurations, making it suitable for both fixed and mobile scenarios. In fixed setups, it provides stable and robust performance for permanent installations. For mobile or transportable applications, the antenna incorporates an electronic flux gate compass, delivering precise directional references even while in motion. This ensures reliable DF capabilities in dynamic environments.
